What could it be that makes Affirmation effective?
What’s more, how would affirmations be able to help me?
These are only a portion of the questions I have been asked, and today, I will impart you with answers to these questions.
Affirmations are mostly sayings or words that you use to inspire yourself. It is the testament to your goal and your want in a very positive method.
The purpose of affirmation is to restrain your mind from negative thoughts and to start thinking positively.
Personally, I have my affirmation script daily, and I always modify them now and then to keep them inspirational, motivational, and emotionally charged for myself. It does work for me.
How can my Affirmations be effective?
You should take note that your personal, positive, emotionally charged affirmation statements are there to inspire you.
It is important that you state your positive daily affirmations in the present tense, that is, use “I am…” rather than “I will be…” Saying things in the present tense will program your subconscious mind to believe that what you affirm is already a fact.
For someone who is trying to lose weight, would say something like this “I keep trying to lose weight, but no matter what I try I cannot seem to shed these pounds. I feel terrible!”
A possible affirmation might be “I am excited, every day, the pounds just seem to melt away, and I feel so great today!”
Positive affirmations can help you to reprogram your mind from the negative self-talk that you have, doesn’t matter how long you’ve had them. For this to work effectively, you need to repeat positive statements.
Affirmation must be spoken in faith. The more confidence you have in them, the more efficient your affirmations will be.
Always say your Affirmation with conviction. For whatever it is, positive daily affirmations made in half-hearted manner are not going to be as effective as the ones that you make with deliberate intention.
Lastly, you will also need to put in some actions; it is not enough to be affirmative, you also need to back them with actions so that you can lay the ground for their manifestation. For instance, affirming that you will win the lottery can only be possible when you buy a ticket.
How can Affirmations help me?
When you perceive that having a positive affirmation can help you to see things differently, to see yourself differently, this is when you will start to make exciting changes in your life.
Affirmations allow you to see what you want to look at instead of what the current situation might be. We all strive at some point in our life with something, but when we start to change the way we look at those struggles, then we can begin to find answers to them.
Affirmations help to reorient your values formulate goals for success and boost your self-confidence. They can be used to improve areas of your life such as wealth, career, health, relationships or self-esteem.
Affirmations can help you to start making positive changes in your life by first helping your mind to see the possibilities. To see yourself as having already achieved that which you desire.
You can create a better life for yourself.
You need to start by identifying your negative thoughts and the feelings that surround them.
Make a list of them or whatever comes to your mind.
Make 2 columns on each page of a notebook or journal and write the list of negative thoughts in the left-hand column.
Leave enough space between them so that you have room in the right-hand column to write a positive message to replace each negative one.
Start writing positive statements in the right-hand column for each negative message.
Some examples of positive affirmation statements like “I am sure of my ability to do what is necessary for life,” “ I feel good about the way I do my job,” “I love and accept myself for who I am.”
It might feel uncomfortable to imagine you believe it.
Always remind yourself to practice your positive daily affirmation. Hence, put them in a visible location, like on the wall, in your bedroom, in your office, in front of the mirror, or you could use it as your screensaver, or anywhere you get to see it and say it as you go about your daily work.
And watch positive changes manifest in your life!
